I haven’t been this excited about a book in a very long time. As it turns out, there may be something to my excitement! Check out some of these early reviews –
“I wish I could give this book 10 stars! Wow, be still my heart!” ~ Amazon reviewer
“Godspeed is a gripping and powerful read that will captivate and amaze from start to finish!” ~ Amazon reviewer
“5+ stars! Phenomenal!” ~ Amazon reviewer
I woke up to those reviews, and many more like them, this morning. I’m just blown away by the response. But this book really was a labor of love, and it shows. I have mentioned before that I was inspired by Edmund Leighton’s painting, GOD SPEED – it’s such a romantic painting, and one of my favorites, so it was a true honor to put a ‘back story’ to that lovely image.
As I started writing the book about an older knight and the young lady he’d always loved (and vise versa), I quickly realized that this was going to be a multi-faceted story with very strong secondary characters. My favorite secondary characters are Lily and Bentley. Lily is Belladonna’s sister (Bella is our heroine), and she was cruelly tricked out of marrying the man she really loved – Bentley. You really have to read the book to get a feel of this tragic love story, but never fear – in the end, Lily and Bentley also have their HEA. They deserved it!!
Make sure you have your copy of GODSPEED for the weekend – I think you’re really going to LOVE it!!
