Oh, Heathcliff!!
Actually, to me, Wuthering Heights was a tragedy all the way around. No happily ever after for Cathy and Heathcliff, but I promise you’ll get HEAs in this wonderful set of stories based on the poems of Edgar Allan Poe.
Poe, of course, is a favorite of mine. I’ve talked about him before and my love of his dark literary creations. I’ve written several novellas based on his poems, my favorite being Kingdom by the Sea. There’s just something so richly tortured about Poe and the entire Gothic Romance genre, which has a heavy Medieval influence. Now I have to go watch Wuthering Heights again… lol
So, now that school’s back in and Halloween is fast on the approach, make sure you have your copy reserved of this fabulous collection, including my story, “Emma”. It’s the lead-off, and my very first Regency tale, so I hope you like it. Think Medieval mixed with Regency and that’s what the story is – a little raw, a little dark, kind of brutal, but deliciously romantic.
