Release Day for a new book is always the best day. This is my 163rd release and it never gets old. There’s so much excitement in getting a story out to readers that I’ve sunk my heart and soul into.
I want you to get to know everything about it.
When you write a book, you’re creating lives. It’s very God-like in the sense that the people you create have lives of their own. Sometimes they do what you want them to do. Sometimes they don’t. Sometimes, I argue with the characters because they need to do THIS, but they’re telling me they want to do THAT. Just like your kids, right? Only you can’t really punish them. LOL.
Essien and Catalina are a great couple. She’s the more mature of the pair, but it works for them because she helps Essien to grow up a little and come out from his brother’s shadow. What was the most fun in this book, for me, was adding a young William de Wolfe, Paris de Norville, and Kieran Hage. We get a peek at them before The Wolfe takes place (about eight years before), so they’re carefree scoundrels. That’s the kindest way I can put it. I think you’re going to have a lot of fun seeing them, and other characters from other books. Of course, at the very end of the book, William de Wolfe and Christopher de Lohr face each other in a tournament but I won’t tell you more than that. You have to read the book to see who wins!
Without further ado, enjoy Essien and Catalina’s story. It’s a big one!
