The second book in the Guard of Six series is going to be here before you know it – May 13th!
This has been an interesting series so far, mostly because there’s a different dynamic with the Guard of Six than other series I write. You know how much I love the ‘band of brothers’ thing, with the men very loyal to one another. Camaraderie is important in all of my series – some more than others. With the Guard of Six, they’re not linked by blood or family. They’re linked by secrets and backgrounds that aren’t maybe the best. They understand how brutal life can be and they don’t have strong family ties, so in essence, they ‘are’ each other’s family.
Insurrection deals with a very old friendship between Kent de Poyer and a guy who is considered the enemy. It’s innocent when he was a child, but becomes a problem when he’s an adult. This book was also surprising because there are a couple of really strong secondary plots in it, storylines that became a lot of fun for me to explore. All this to say make sure you have your copy reserved – or read it in Kindle Unlimited – because we’ve got some really fun Easter eggs in the book and plot lines that expand out of the series and connect to other series.
