This has been such a great journey with five of the most fabulous women I’ve ever met. It all started with a conversation between Christi Caldwell and I – Christi was thinking about a multi-genre collection that needed to revolve around a central theme. I put on my thinking cap and came up with the gladius, naming it the Theodosia sword after the heroine in Christi’s segment. I brainstormed a little more and put together the legend and the prologue, and then Christi and I reached out to four more of the most wonderful authors we knew, those who wrote in different genres, to see if they would like to participate. Cynthia Wright, Eliza Knight, Eva Devon, and Suzan Tisdale jumped on it! We were so thrilled! So, with the legend established, and each author writing about a different generation of the same family who owned the sword, WITH DREAMS ONLY OF YOU was born.
The experience has been a delight from the beginning. Suz, Christi, Cindy, Eva/Maire, and Eliza are some of the most wonderful people I’ve ever known. No drama, no craziness, just six authors working for the same goal. It went smoothly. Everything was delivered on time. We had a huge number of pre orders. And- BAM – the first week, we hit the USA Today list. I’m so in awe of my partners in crime and of their talent. Together, we achieved a dream I’ve long held secret.
