Be still my heart. This book! I have wanted to give Cassian and Brielle their own story for quite some time, but even I had no idea how beautifully it would turn out. Cassian and Brielle are so meant for one another, but circumstances (and fathers) keep the apart. Still - their love story is a deep one. Deep and complex. Brielle was smiling at him from the entry to the great hall. He could see her from across the room. Leaving the group of men he’d been standing with, he made his way over to her as she stood with her sister.
But all Cassian could see was Brielle.
“Good eve, my lady,” he said rather formally, when he mostly called her Brie. “It is agreeable to see you this evening.”
“Agreeable?” Christin snorted. “God’s Bones, Cass, you’d better tell her she looks incredibly beautiful or there will be hell to pay. Do you think she usually dresses this way?”
Cassian was trying not to laugh. He genuinely liked Christin, who was much like her mother in that she was bold…
Nevermore is my contribution to the coming Halloween collection, Upon A Midnight Dreary, so you're definitely going to want to read this tale. We've got a de Norville son - Atreus - as our hero and he's QUITE the heroic knight!

As promised, I have all of the links up and running for WolfeShield and The Dark Angel. If you've read the blurbs, then you know what fantastic adventures these are going to be.
It seems like I've done several books lately that have involved tournaments (as WolfeShield does), but I assure you, it's just coincidence. Most of these books have been plotted out years ago, one at a time, so the fact that several tournament books have come up at the same time isn't planned. Tournaments were a big part of life back then and quite exciting, however, so I love including them as part of the action.

2022 is going to be here before you know it, so here are two books to kick off next year's stellar line up of Medieval Romance super-stars!
WolfeShield and The Dark Angel!
I usually plan my publishing schedule about five years out. I know (generally) what books I'm going to publish in a year, but that list can and does change. I'm very strategic about what I publish, and when, and I am more than happy to kick off 2022 with a de Velt and de Wolfe novel in continuing series.
In The Dark Angel, we get to meet Julian de Velt, the shy and somewhat reclusive de Velt brother. I feel sorry for Julian because in the two-colored eye feature that happens in the de Velt family, he got the brunt of it - one eye is brown and one eye is green, so his heterochromia is really pronounced, which makes him very self-conscious. In WolfeShield, we meet Ronan de Wolfe, whom we've seen in several of the De Wolfe Pack Generations books. He's kind of the 'baby' of the older grandsons, but he's got a whopper of a tale. The baby has grown up!

But let me tell you a little bit about it...
This was a difficult book to write for a lot of reasons. It's a very, very different storyline. That's one reason. The heroine isn't the wife of the hero until the end of the book. But I was also dealing with two of my greatest families - de Wolfe and de Lohr - and a situation that could very easily end their long-standing alliance. I don't want to give it away too much, but there's a twist in the story you won't see coming. It really complicates things.
We have the usual fun characters, too, to lighten it up a little. Watch for little Atticus de Wolfe. I think he needs a good spanking, but the de Wolfe men seem to think he's pretty fun. I think the whole book is fun, so get ready to get sucked into an intriguing and difficult story, but ultimately, one that I hope you can't put down.
Happy Reading!
I've got three new bundles for you to ENJOY!!
Bundles are really great in many ways, not the least of which is the fact that they are a bargain. I always like to give my readers a bargain. Between these three bundles, you get fifteen books for under $4. That's crazy! But the best thing you can do for an author in Kindle Unlimited is read those books in Kindle Unlimited first - and then buy the bundle if you want to hang on to it. At .99 cents each, you can't go wrong!
These are bundles of books that are already published, but that's okay - for new readers, it's a great way to introduce yourself to https://kathrynbouseleveque.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/lord-despair-high-res-scaled-1.jpg Le Veque Novels and for my lovely existing readers, they're still a great deal if the bundle has a book you haven't read yet. The price is worth picking up the set!
All of the books included in the bundle are clearly spelled out, so you can discover which ones you already have - and which ones you don't.
Here are the great new bundles that have just come out!

Lasses and their…
WolfeLord will be here on Thursday - and what a book it is!
De Wolfe and de Lohr go head to head in this one, dear readers. We've got some problems going on caused by over-eager fathers, unfortunately. We met Will and Lily at the end of ShadowWolfe and they were newly married at the time, but WolfeLord is set years down the road. Complications much?!!! You're not going to want to miss this one - it's very different, very intense in parts. Questions of morality and love vs. honor at times, so buckle down for a wild ride.
Here's the blurb:
William “Will” de Wolfe has the weight of the entire de Wolfe empire weighing on him. Perfection is key. Living up to the grandfather he was named for has been something he’s had to deal with his entire life. But Will is strong, noble, true, and powerful… everything a man named William de Wolfe should be.
Except he’s living through a personal tragedy no man should have to live through.
Will was very young when he married his wife, Lily de Lohr. As the great-granddaughter of Christopher de Lohr, the marriage forever linked the Houses of de…
I've got a new bundle out today - get your copy of **LASSES AND THEIR LOVERS!**
Remember these bundles are already-published books and a great deal for new readers (or any readers!) to help them save money - or binge read in Kindle Unlimited! Even if you have all but one of the books, still get the bundle - it's worth it for the book you don't have!
Here's the blurb:
Mad Medieval Matrimony makes for lusty bedfellows... Love Scotland? Highlanders? Great adventures? Then this is the bundle for you!
Welcome to this grand collection of some of https://kathrynbouseleveque.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/lord-despair-high-res-scaled-1.jpg Le Veque's bestselling novels. Add this collection to your Kindle library or read for FREE in Kindle Unlimited!
Escape to a land where the lasses are fair and fiery, where the lords are strong and noble, and the lovers are passionate and true. All of these elements combine into a great new collection of novels of some of Le Veque's most romantic tales. Medieval England and Scotland have never been so adventurous or so passionate.
This collection includes:
Guardian of Darkness - A fiery Scots lass goes head to head with a cold English knight. Can she warm him before he freezes…
Believe it or not, Horror is one of my very favorite genres. But not the gore and blood - the ghostly kind of horror. The horror where you can see a wandering wraith and you just KNOW something scary is about to happen. Yeah, that kind. Back in the 1980s, I made it my life's work to rent (Blockbuster was my friend) every horror video I could and HECK YES there were some good ones! With names like Mortuary or The Gate, you just KNEW you were going to be screaming and covering your eyes. Hehehe....
It's little wonder that I love writing ghostly stories and I've got a whopper for the coming collection, UPON A MIDNIGHT DREARY. That line comes from Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven, and my story is called 'Nevermore'. The story is kind of a cross between The Raven, The Cask of Amontillado, and The Premature Burial. All of that crazy, Gothic, deliciously creepy stuff. I've got a little excerpt here for you, but here's the setting - Whitby Abbey in Yorkshire, a wicked Mother Abbess, and a postulate in love with a knight - who happens to be none other than Paris de Norville's grandson,…
As I often do when writing these books, I give you a little insight into certain scenes or characters that affect me.
Right now, I'm hip-deep in The Dark Conqueror and I just wrote a scene that had me weeping so much that I had to take a break and come back to it. This one is going to be a two-box Kleenex book for sure. OMG, so heartbreaking - hence, the dagger through my heart!!
Remember who's in this book - Christopher and David de Lohr, Brielle de Lohr, Dustin de Lohr, Jax de Velt, Cassian de Velt, and a host of secondary characters. We get to meet Chris and Dustin's children - all of them - so that's a lot of fun. At this point in time, his younger children are pretty young - 7, 10, 12, etc - and he's got some eccentric and headstrong kids, but it makes for some great reading. We never really got to see the de Wolfe Pack children when they were young, so it's a fun insight into Chris and Dustin's kids when they were growing up.
But this scene I'm speaking of - GAH!! Such tears, such heartbreak.…
