Black Sword has dropped!

Black Sword debuted at #2 today on Amazon's Hot New Release list. Hooray!!! Already, there are 9 5-star reviews, so it seems to be a hit. I'm so happy with the reception - I will admit, I was worried. The book starts out very brutally and I was fearful that it would turn readers off, but fortunately, the hero seems to have redeemed himself quickly in the eyes of readers.  Also, I seriously have some of the quirkiest characters of any of my books in this one - a crazy old woman who smokes a pipe full of shit (nice!!!) and a snappy physic who has some of the best one-liners ever. Hysterical! Don't miss BLACK SWORD. It's a definite keeper! Happy reading!!

The Sword is coming on Monday!

Something to tempt you for my new release, BLACK SWORD.... “So you like that, you English vixen?” he murmured. “You are a whore after all.” Emllyn’s eyes flew open. Quick as a flash, she hauled off and slapped him so hard across the face that his head snapped sideways. Leaping off the bed, she made a break for the lancet window but Devlin was right behind her, grabbing her as she tried to throw herself from the window, three stories above the jagged rocks and crashing sea below. He had her around the waist, her arms pinned, as she screamed and fought against him. Read the rest here -

The Savage Curtain is a Kindle Countdown Deal 1/28 through 2/1

If you haven't read THE SAVAGE CURTAIN, now's your chance. It's only .99 cents for Kindle! This is probably my favorite story out of the Dragonblade Trilogy simply because there's so much going on - Stephen of Pembury has been appointed Guardian Protector of the city of Berwick after the English reclaim it from the Scots.  However, in order to secure the peace, he's been ordered to marry the enemy's daughter.  That's bad enough, but the Lady Joselyn Seton has a myriad of dark secrets she's hiding, and Stephen walks right into the middle of it.  However... there is genuine attraction between the two that eventually turns to a great and powerful love, so Stephen is willing to overlook these horrible secrets his wife harbors, including an illegitimate child.  As their love story gets rolling, the Scots attack Berwick again and Stephen is taken hostage. It's up to Joselyn - and Tate de Lara and Kenneth St. Hever - to save him before time runs out.  It's a great adventure!! http://www.amazon.com/Savage-Curtain-Book-Dragonblade-Trilogy-ebook/dp/B0089H007O/ref=la_B004QF87Q4_1_9?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1390947453&sr=1-9

Kindle Countdown deal 1/21/14 – THE FALLEN ONE

THE FALLEN ONE is only .99 cents today and tomorrow, with the price increasing gradually until the deal ends on 1/25.  If you haven't read this book, it's an absolute MUST read. Mathias de Reyne was a knight for Roger Mortimer in his struggle for the throne against Edward III and when Mortimer fell, Mathias was stripped of his knighthood and forced into obscurity.  When a man loses all hope, the only thing that can save him - bring him hope - is often something to inspire him to rise above his trouble, and in this case, it happens to be the Lady Cathlina de Lara, cousin of the Earl of Carlisle, Tate de Lara.  If you've read the DRAGONBLAD TRILOGY, then you'll already known half of the characters in this novel - Tate de Lara, Kenneth St. Hever, and Stephen of Pembury.  As it turns out, Mathias is an old friend of theirs and they want to see him restored as an honored knight as well. Join the adventure of Mathias, Cathlina, and the Dragonblade boys in the fabulous Medieval Romance adventure of THE FALLEN ONE.

More creative things on the way

I freely admit I mix up my release dates and novels - I am one of those writers who definitely writes when the muse sings.  If I get a big inspiration for a book due to be released in September, then I start working on it and make it my next release.  Most writers I know must feel some kind of inspiration to write - I call it 'in the zone', and I'm sure lot of writers do, too. It's a term for when you are singularly focused on those characters and that storyline.  When I get like that, I've been known to write 18 hours a day. My husband has to make me get up and move around so I don't get blood clots! That being said, I've got several things I'm working on and the release dates will change in the next few days. It looks as if the Irish Medieval Romance, BLACK SWORD, will be up next.  Stay tuned because exciting things are coming!

My Story – Post #1

For Aspiring writers.... I promised I'd post a series of chats on how I did what I did and achieved where I am today, so here's the first one post on that. I'll call it My Story. Real original, right?   So here goes with My Story Post #1: I have always written. I can't remember when I haven't written. I remember using my mother's typewriter back in about 1977 to type a space story. Don't know wh...at happened to it; I don't even remember the name. But it kind of kicked it off for me.  But the typewriter was old and I couldn't type fast enough, so I switched over to spiral-bound notebooks and began writing long hand. I still have most of those notebooks with soooo many amateur stories in them.  Maybe one day I'll pull them out and see if there's anything worth salvaging. I would jot down anything that came to mind no matter how crazy or outlandish, mostly because that's what writing is - it's imagination, pure and simple.  There's also a saying - write about what you have experienced. It's not an entirely accurate saying. Do you thing Medieval writers or fantasy/sci fi writers have actually experienced…
